Community Dialogue about Logging, * NEW DATE: December 7th*

SASCI will host an information session and community dialogue about logging activity in the southwest part of the province on December 7th at the Heritage Inn in Pincher Creek.  The event will begin at 6:00 pm with information displays provided by various stakeholders.  Presentations by area stakeholders will begin at 7:00 pm, followed by a moderated Q&A and dialogue session, starting at about 8:30 pm.

Groups representing agricultural, recreational, residential, and/or other land users and public interest groups who wish to provide an information display and/or make a presentation are invited to contact the SASCI Manager, David Green, at 403-627-1750 or dgreen@sasci.ca as soon as possible.  To promote balanced perspectives, we will try to accommodate a diverse range of groups representing a wide range of interests. 

Participants are encouraged to attend the Information Session that will be hosted by Alberta Sustainable Resource Development and Spray Lakes Sawmills on November 18th, also at the Heritage Inn.

SRD & Spray Lakes' Forestry Information Session, November 18

Spray Lakes Sawmills will host an information session about logging activity planned for the southwest part of Alberta, including the Beaver Mines Lake area.  The information session will be held at the Heritage Inn in Pincher Creek on Thursday, November 18, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Spray Lake Staff will be in attendance to offer information around the operational aspects of the planned operations. Staff from Sustainable Resource Development will also be in attendance to provide information on the C5 Forest Management Plan and to answer any questions on forestry related issues in general.
