There are three different ways to financially support SASCI's vision: as a Sponsor, a Funder, or a Supporter.

A Sponsor is an agency, department, organization, company, or individual or group of individuals that or who provide(s) cash or other in-kind support for the purpose of enabling a specific event to be carried out.  An example might be an Open House or Forum addressing a specific issue or development proposal, a Fair, or a workshop.

A Funder is an agency, department, organization, company, or individual or group of individuals that or who provide(s) core financial support for the purpose of carrying out a specific and defined project.  Examples include the Foothills Restoration Forum, the Community Values Assessment, the Land Use Planning Public Engagement Program, or the Governance Capacity-Building Program - indeed, any project that is ongoing and involves multiple activities and events.

A Supporter is an agency, department, organization, company, or individual or group of individuals that or who provide(s) core financial support for the purpose of carrying out SASCI’s mission.  Supporter contributions are not allocated to a specific project or program, and may be used to cover operational expenses.  Supporter contributions may include in-kind donations of time or equipment.  In some ways, Supporters are the most important kind of donor for SASCI, because core operational funding is often the most difficult to obtain, compared to project-specific grants.

We understand that sponsorship, funding, and support provides an opportunity for our donors to create reputational and other potential value.  Donors will be recognized and acknowledged by SASCI in project-related publications, advertising, events, and in regional media publications, as appropriate and commensurate with the scale of contribution and potential exposure.  These rights and privileges are outlined in our Sponsors and Funders and Supporters policies.

Please contact us for more information about our current events and projects eligible for sponsorship or funding, or become a Supporter today!

SASCI is a registered charity, and receipts will be issued upon request for donations over $20.00.
