Full house for Conflict Resolution workshop!

We had a full house of 25 participants at our Conflict Resolution workshop in Pincher Creek on March 6!  Thanks to all for coming out!  We hope you found the workshop valuable, and hope to see you at our next one.  We are already taking registrations for our upcoming Governance Education for Non-Profits workshop on May 8th!

SASCI continues to deliver capacity-building workshops!

Last fall, SASCI hosted a facilitation skills development workshop in Pincher Creek, as described in this article in the Pincher Creek Voice.   This workshop was put on by Kerry Brown and Karla Reesor of the company Moving Forward Ltd.  A wide range of community service organizations participated, including the Crowsnest Pass Boys and Girls Club, Crowsnest Pass Children's Services, Pincher Planters, Rotary, Mustangs Football, Oldman Watershed Council, Community Futures, Cowboy Poetry, Group Group Youth, Chamber of Commerce, and Kootenai Brown Pioneer Village.  Schools and private businesses were also represented.

SASCI offers governance education opportunity

This fall, the Southwest Alberta Sustainable Community Initiative (SASCI) is starting a new program focused on building the capacity of community service organizations in key areas like governance, fundraising, volunteer program design and management, conflict resolution, and facilitation.
